CoppaFeel! Launch Brand New Resources to Remind Everyone That Checking Your Chest During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding is Vital For Early Detection

This November, CoppaFeel! are proud to launch unique resources to advise those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Breast cancer is reported in 1 in every 3000 pregnancies, and although rare, this means that around 200 people a year in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer during pregnancy, or up to a year after having their baby.

CoppaFeel! has launched an innovative campaign in collaboration between Tyla, Lawless Studios and Supernova at the7stars, creating a huge UGC mural by visual artist Molly Hankinson, developed in Shoreditch to prompt passers-by to ‘check their chest’.

CoppaFeel! has joined forces with Ansar Projects, a not for profit organisation supporting young adults with a learning disability, and Orchid, the male cancer awareness and support charity, to create accessible breast and testicular cancer resources for people with a learning disability.

Our World Cancer Day collaboration with Animade

CoppaFeel! has collaborated Animade on the ‘Stop and CoppaFeel!’ campaign for World Cancer Day to raise awareness about breast cancer in young people. With latest research showing 2 in 5 young people are avoiding contact with the NHS due to coronavirus, these animations aim to remind young people that getting to know their bodies could save their life and encourage them to seek medical advice if they experience any concerning changes.

Our latest research findings

CoppaFeel! research shows young people are a “health conscious” generation but remain worried about using NHS services due to coronavirus. 1 in 5 young women would delay a GP visit due to a fear of catching Coronavirus, despite the fact more young women are self-checking and confident to notice a change.

CoppaFeel! are thrilled to welcome you to the Sofa Series: a range of events running throughout May, proudly sponsored by Mindful Chef. If in doubt, STILL get checked out!

NHS urges people to still visit their GP if they are experiencing cancer symptoms, despite the pandemic. New surveys show there is a considerable drop in people presenting to their GP and being referred on a two week wait for cancer symptoms. Early detection is the best form of defence when it comes to breast cancer, so we are urging you to still contact your GP if you are worried about changes to your boobs or pecs.

Superdrug & CoppaFeel! 6 months on

CoppaFeel! and Superdrug celebrate our partnership which sees boob awareness consultations being carried out across Superdrug’s 50+ nurse clinics across the UK. Since launching in April 2019, 65,000 patients have had a no touch consultation on how to carry out a breast examination.
